« Top 10 Scary Batman Villains

There’s no denying that Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone is one of the greatest television shows ever made. Serling was a helluva writer as well, and his keen insight into human nature allowed him and the other TZ creators to craft tales which both educated and thrilled. Submitted for your approval, here are the top 10 Twilight Zone episodes.
10. “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” – William Shatner sees something on the wing of his plane, but nobody else will believe him. The movie version with John Lithgow was better, but this episode is still a hoot.
9. “I Shot an Arrow Into the Air” – The first manned space mission crashes onto what the crew believes to be an asteroid. As the tensions mount between the two survivors, you realize that one of these guys will never make it out of the Twilight Zone.
8. “Nick of Time” – William Shatner also stars in this episode about a couple who experience car trouble in a small town. While waiting for repairs, the husband becomes obsessed with a fortune-telling machine which never seems to get things wrong.
7. “A Kind of a Stopwatch” – A jerk receives a stopwatch which can halt time around him. As his uses for the device become more and more ambitious, he slides ever deeper into the clutches of The Twilight Zone.
6. “A Stop at Willoughby” – An executive hates everything about his life and dreams of living in a small town where things are more pleasant. Unfortunately, he didn’t see the signpost warning that the Twilight Zone was dead ahead.
5. “Eye of the Beholder” – A young woman is about to undergo yet another operation to fix her deformed face. The faces of everyone are shrouded in mystery until the end, and the big twist should really make you rethink your stance on beauty and self-worth. One of the more famous episodes of The Twilight Zone.
4. “The Lonely” – A murderer is sentenced to spend 50 years alone on a asteroid. Just before he goes completely mad, he receives a robotic woman as a partner. He falls in love, but don’t forget that this is the Twilight Zone.
3. “Will The Real Martian Please Stand Up?” – A bus driver and six passengers are forced to stop at a diner in the middle of a snowstorm. Two cops soon shows up, saying they found a crashed flying saucer and footprints leading to the diner. That’s when the bus driver realizes he now has seven passengers. Let the witch hunt begin.
2. “A Game of Pool” – A brash, young pool hustler wants to be the best in the world. In order to claim the title, he must call down the reigning champion from the afterlife and engage in a pool game for the ages. But if the younger player loses, he’ll forfeit his own life. Jack Klugman is excellent in this one.
1. “Time Enough at Last” – Burgess Meredith stars as a man who loves to read. When he unwittingly survives the end of the world, he realizes that he’ll have all the time in the world to catch up on his reading. But this is the Twilight Zone, of course, so things don’t go exactly as planned.
