Pro wrestlers are capable of more than just causing mayhem in the ring; they can also cause mayhem as the stars of horror films. With their imposing muscles and snarling faces, they’re often called upon to play villains and axe murderers. Here are the top 10 horror movies with pro wrestlers.

10. Las Vampiras – Mil Mascaras really stretches his acting talents, as he plays a wrestler bent on stopping the King of Vampires (John Carradine) in this 1969 Mexican horror film. It was renamed The Vampire Girls for its U.S. release.
9. Scarecrow Gone Wild – Ken Shamrock plays the role of Coach Ramsey in this film about a killer scarecrow run amok during spring break. The tagline for the film is “Girls, Guys, Gore!”.
8. Santa’s Slay – A bizarre film starring Bill Goldberg as a psychopathic Santa, who was actually born of Satan himself. After losing a bet with an angel, Santa was condemned to deliver presents for 1000 years, but now that term is up. Santa goes on a homicidal rampage, dispatching actors such as James Caan, Chris Kattan, Rebecca Gayheart and Fran Drescher.
7. Alligator II: The Mutation – Professor Toru Tanaka, Alexi Smirnoff and Chavo Guerrero Sr. all appear in this film about a giant alligator which threatens to destroy a small town. Other cast members include Dee Wallace, Richard Lynch, Joseph Bologna and Steve Railsback.
6. Doom – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars in this film based on the video game of the same name. He plays Sarge, the leader of a group of Marines who are sent to investigate why the Mars research station has suddenly been placed under quarantine. If you’ve played the game, then you already know the horrifying answer.
5. Dead Heat – Professor Toru Tanaka plays the role of Butcher in this film starring Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo. The premise of the film revolves around reanimated corpses being used to carry out bank robberies, and the pair of cops who try to stop them. Mixes humor and horror, but not always effectively.
4. See No Evil – Kane plays Jacob Goodnight, a psychopath who lives in the remains of the Blackwell Hotel. When a group of juvenile delinquents are sent in to clean up the place, Jacob decides to go on a little killing spree.
3. Halloween (2007) – In this Rob Zombie reboot of the series, Tyler Man takes on the role of Michael Myers, a psychopath who’s nothing more than pure evil. On Halloween, he returns to the sleepy town of Haddonfield to kill his only living relative.
2. House of 1000 Corpses – The first film by Rob Zombie, Robert Allen Mukes played Rufus Firefly, Jr.. Before becoming an actor, Mukes had a brief stint as a pro wrestler, enough to qualify him (and the movie) for this list. If you like this film, be sure to check out its sequel, The Devil’s Rejects.
1. The Devil’s Rejects – Tyler Mane plays Rufus, a member of the vicious Firefly family in this Rob Zombie horror flick. He’s not around for long, but he makes quite an impression in his plate metal body armor. The rest of the film is pretty darned good, as well.
